I spent 10 years working in marketing. It was creative enough, until it wasn't.

I've always been a crafty person but I never thought you could make a real living from it. Crafts were the thing I did on the side. A hobby. 

Back in 2023, I was freelancing and started helping someone grow her niche events (sculpting body parts out of clay. yes, you can guess which body parts).

It got me thinking: what if I did this… but with other crafts?

So I did. I created Karma Creative Studios in New Zealand. Things went pretty crazy, pretty quickly and I consistently started hitting 10k months in ticket sales. Along the way, other crafters started asking me how I did it. How I priced things. How I filled seats. 

That became the Crafts Workshops Academy, a program that teaches crafters how to design, market, and sell out their own creative workshops. There's been over 300 students through the Academy. Some of which went on to open their own studios. Like Tyler; Alexi & Ciara. 🥹

I also started a podcast, honest conversations with creators who went beyond the "make and sell" model and actually built something from their craft skills.

Now I'm taking my workshop business international. I rebranded it to Creative Night Out, and I'm launching in Europe later this year.

So today that's what I do.
